Jason Gant

Jason Gant “The Fighting School Teacher,” was born in Naples, Florida and has lived in nearby Bonita Springs ever since. As a 13 year old, Gant became interested in boxing after some neighborhood friends challenged him to a couple of matches. Two years later, Gant joined the SJC Boxing Club’s amateur team where he successfully fought for four years. His career started off with a bang, as he won his first amateur bout, and the Florida State Junior Olympic title in the 156 lb. division in the process, with a second round K.O. He followed with two more state titles before ending his amateur career.

After graduating from Estero High School in 1995, Gant attended Edison Community College, where he received an Associate’s Degree. He went on to The University of Central Florida, in Orlando, for three semesters. At UCF, Gant made the Division 1-A football team as a walk-on. He competed with players like Damien Demps, Charles Lee, and Dante Culpepper. He completed his collegiate career with a Batchelor’s Degree from Florida Gulf Coast University in secondary Education. He is presently teaching sixth grade at Riverdale Middle School.
