Get ready for the Fort Myers Film Festival’s 13th annual festival which will be held in the sunny, beautiful SWFL region at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center May 17-21, 2021.
Nine-time Emmy Award Winning documentarian John Biffar has done a one-hour documentary titled, “Worth the Fight,” about the SJC Boxing Mentoring Program and its impact on Southwest Florida during the past 34 years. It has been chosen as a Featured Film in the upcoming Fort Myers Film Festival. The world premier is set for Friday, May 19, 2023, at 7pm. It describes how various people came to the gym with severe problems, drug and alcohol addiction, depression, PTSD, etc. and through hard work and sacrifice overcame their problems. After they had succeeded, each person could say, “It was worth the fight!”
