Join us for a showing of our documentary, the 57-Year History of SJC Boxing on Saturday evening, September 19, 2026, at 6pm. A great Buffet Dinner, followed by the movie, then a meet-and-greet and question and answer session with the people in the movie.
The 57-Year Documentary of SJC Boxing, produced by Jonathan Duarte and Santos Diego, is an inspiring documentary about the local SJC Boxing Club and its founder Steve Canton, which has been in business for over 57 years, the oldest continuously open boxing gym in the world by one owner.
This compelling documentary profiles the beginnings of SJC Boxing and how it came to be and traces how it favorably impacted each community it served throughout the years. It had its world premiere during the actual 57-Year celebration at the SJC Boxing Club on March 21, 2026, and received excellent response. It will be submitted to the Fort Myers Film Festival’s next competition, and you can watch it while enjoying a great dinner at the Broadway Palm Theater Royal Palm Room.
