HANK KAPLAN

If there were a listing in the dictionary for “Boxing Historian,” Hank Kaplan’s picture would be found there. Hank has been a major constributor to the world of boxing journalism for several decades. Few members of the boxing community have spent the time researching “The Sweet Science,” as Hank Kaplan.

He is the founder and former editor of the well respected “Boxing Digest” magazine. In addition, Hank has penned thousands of articles for boxing publications all over the world. While he is best known for his writing, his crowning constribution to boxing may be his hard work in helping to establish the International Boxing Hall of Fame, in Canastota, New York.

Hank has been a long time resident of Miami. Along with his lovely wife, Sylvia, he continues to further the careers of up and coming fighters and attends shows on a regular basis. The SJC Professional Boxing Team is proud that Hank Kaplan has been a regular guest of ours, in Southwest Florida, as he has attended every one of our local promotions. Hank Kaplan always enjoys meeting new people and talking about his favorite subject with fellow boxing enthusiasts.
